Natural Bridges in Santa Cruz mountains was an exciting adventure filled with wave chasing, "sand"wiches, tidepools, mermaids, seashell collecting, CC the Seal, sand toys and fun in the sun.
The kids all pitched in to carry our beach stuff.
The first to dig into the sand.
Dumping out all the sand toys.
Holding hands with teacher Cassy protects them from the waves, or does it?
The kids go wild, running and screaming as the waves crash near them.
Run run as fast as you can.
Looking for crabs (or are they called sea fleas?)
The puppy dog
Sand between the fingers is so cool.
Someone's shirt looks a little wet. Look at how he is observing the waters now.
Just hanging with my friend.
Digging in the wet sand.
Pitter-patter in the waves.
Oooo, that wave is getting closer!
Run from the water.
Never turn your back on the ocean, as they say.
Hurry, follow me!
CC the Seal peeks over the
waters at us.
waters at us.
Time for lunch, as we all spread out on towels.
After full bellies, time to play "again".
Refreshing the sunscreen.
Girls hanging out together.
Sunscreen for him too.
Boys playing construction.
The group just before the tide pool exploration.
Atop a cliff side waiting for the
crashing waves.
crashing waves.
Filling a frisbee full of sand.
Our trip started at 10am and ended at 4:30. Not a single owie, not a single sunburn, not a single fight or argument and not a single tear. What an exhausting, yet great day!
PattyKakes Kidz and teacher Cassy want to wish you all a great Summer.
