Pegs in Boards to make a garden. |
First of all, outdoor play is probably the most important part of our day. We use our large muscles, make friends while learning about social skills, exploring our world, and using the outdoors to incorporate into our learning curriculum.
On our way to the park with Mr. A.
Together we sit on the jumpy thingy. The discussion is about sisters and how much fun they are.
Making a new friend at the park.
Exploring the back yard double sandbox.
Challenging each other to climb to the top of our climbing dome.
Look at em go!
Everything that goes up, must hang upside down.
I created and laminated the butterfly and flower matching game for the children. It encourages coloring matching and recognition and in this case, the buddy system.
Check out these bugs below in our garden.
I took these with my iPhone. Pretty good shots if I must say so myself. The kids below are watching with such intent and learn about respecting life.
Time to draw these bugs.
Onto the Garden....
We plant and learn about each of these little plants (our food source).
We're careful not to crush the roots and to space evenly.
Be sure to make the hole big enough for the root system.
Of course, we mustn't forget to water.
At the end of the day, this little guy couldn't wait to show his mom and tell her the names of the plants we planted.
It was a hot day picking up sticks from the local creek. I can see his little red cheeks.
Look mom, paint!
Preschool Time
We begin each day with practice writing of our names.
This lil gal just turned 3.
Scissor Practice cutting of carrots.
Coloring of a rabbit.
Taping our project together. Usually we glue, but the kids wanted to learn how to use a tape dispenser.
Gluing and stickers combined to celebrate Spring has Sprung.
We dipped cookie cutters into paint to make this art project.
Our ladybug hat was a fun project too.
Egg picture painting.
Parts of a plant. Next week I'll add the finished project.
Next was scissor practice cutting.
How about some play-dough time
Here is our Green Homemade Play-dough.
Here is our White homemade play-dough. This white one uses only 2 ingredients.
1 Cup Conditioner
2 Cups Cornstarch
Smells awesome!
Our week included an Easter Celebration too.
Let the Easter Egg Hunt begin!
Well, that's about it for this week. We are thoroughly enjoying our Spring weather and all it has to offer us. Until next week. Oh, one more thing, had to show you one of our nummy snacks we had. The kids loved it!
Vanilla Honey Greek Yogurt
Strawberries and Granola
Banana
Honey Wheat Pretzels. I can promise you, there were seconds and thirds of this delicious and healthy snack.
Until next week, ♥ PattyKakesKidz ♥
