Pilgrim Kidz Set Sail for America

Once upon a time the pilgrim kidz set sail for America .......
They encountered storms, which was depicted here by Ethan and Jovani:
Once landed, they thought they would be ok, until they realized they had no food.
This is when they met the native Americans.

The pilgrim kids were met with open arms.

They were also taught how to hunt and cook.

The pilgrim kidz were so happy.  They all smiled while hugging their loved ones.

Prepping for the feast began....

At first, they watched and learned about grinding and prepping portions of the meal.

One by one, they all took turns at preparing the meal.

Final touches were made before the completed meal was set on the table.

While food was cooking, the pilgrims set off by foot to gather items to make decorations for their feast.
 Working very hard on decorations
with their friends.

The meal was complete and ready to enjoy.
After a really large meal, everyone was stuffed.  They all sat back with full tummies.

Once the clean up was done, pilgrims and native Americans sat together as a story was told to them by their elders.

They all lived happily ever after.....at least according to our preschool version that is....LOL.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone from PattyKakesKidz!

You're 5 too. Nooooooo!

As we get closer to the end of the year, we await the final birthdays.
Here is one of our "now" 5 year old boys.  Jovani!

The first thing we learned is that "chocolate" is NOT Jovani's favorite.
He chose vanilla.
We are going to fast-forward to the frosting of the cake.  The second to the best part, which of course is the eating of the cake.
Jovani is very meticulous in the
frosting of his cupcake.
 Ethan is very intense.
 Piper in deep concentration.
 Nate worried it won't come
out just right.
Katelyn frosting without a care.
 Presenting: JOVANI
Time to sing, make a wish, then eat! Nummy!!

Thank you to Jovani's family too, as they had pizza delivered to us for Jovani's birthday.  The pizza was delicious.  Happy 5th Birthday Jovani.  Next stop, Kindergarten!

OMG, You're 4?

Every month comes around and it seems one of our preschoolers is having a birthday.  It doesn't seem real till I look back and realize, wow, I've celebrated this little guys birthday 3 years now.  Our babes are growing up way too fast.  See a traditional celebration of Ethan's 4th birthday here.

We place in cupcake cups first.

Our Birthday Boy Ethan gets to choose what task he wants to do.  He chooses breaking the egg.

Next, our friend Jovani chooses the cakemix. Chocolate because Ethan chose his favorite.

Next in line, Katelyn breaks in another egg.

Piper pours in the oil.

Nate breaks in the third egg as his friend Noli watches over his shoulder.

Noli's turn.  She adds the final touch, the water.
 Now for the mixing.
Each child gets their turn to hold and manage the electric mixer.  Many times you'll see a friend hold the bowl and others watch in amazement as they wait for their turn.

Check out the kids using their team work while mixing.

Once the aroma of cake has filled the home, we decorate our cupcakes and sing to wish our friend a Happy 4th Birthday. All while he makes his wish blowing out the candles.
Happy Birthday Ethan.
Nothing like a little messy face
to end our day.
Hugs to all.
